Monthly Tracking of Wages by Province and Industry
On a monthly basis, BC Stats products the Earnings and Employment Trends publication based upon data from the Labour Force Survey. This publication provides gives a comprehensive look at the provincial labour force and its earnings. The publication is designed to assist with monitoring changes in wages and employment levels between provinces and across industries within B.C. The report provides figures on persons employed and actual dollars earned. Primary emphasis, however, is placed on the 'percentage change' data to help highlight recent trends and/or structural shifts.
2009 Survey of Employers
The British Columbia Wage and Salary Survey, 2009 was designed to provide British Columbians with up-to-date wage and salary information to enable employers to recruit and retain employees, and to enable job seekers to make informed education and career decisions. The survey produced information on part-time and full-time wages, hours of work, hiring difficulties, and vacancies for 112 of the province’s most common occupations.
