BC-level projections are usually updated in January/February each year, with sub-provincial (Local Health Area,
Health Region, Regional District, and Development Region) projections following a few months after. All population estimates
are date-referenced to July 1st of each year.
The most recent BC projection is 'Proj 09/01', produced in January, 2009.
The most recent sub-provincial projection is an update of 'P.E.O.P.L.E. 33' (Population Extrapolation for Organization Planning with
Less Error, run cycle 33), produced in March, 2009 based upon 'Proj 09/01'.This release was made necessary by revisions to sub-provincial population figures due to
Statistics Canada's release of the final net census undercoverage data for 2006.
